Spring into Action: Master Auction Searching

Posted on May 5, 2020 by Madison Martin

With one more month of spring, now is the time to master StorageAuctions.com’s auction search feature! May is a month of new possibilities when it comes to storage auctions; like the old saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers.”

Now is the best time to learn the easiest and best ways to find auctions in your area!

Searching by Zip Code

One of the most effective and customizable searches on StorageAuctions.com is our zip-code search. Based on your location and personal zip-code, you can search for the auctions nearest to you!

To start things off, log onto your computer and search for storageauctions.com.

  • On the main page, after scrolling down, you will see a search bar labeled, “Find Auctions Near You.”
  • By clicking the “Radius,” button on the right-hand side of the search bar, you will be able to select a radius. You can select:
  • 60 miles
  • 90 miles
  • 120 miles
  • 150 miles
  • 200+ miles

Searching by City

Similar to searching by zip code, simply enter your city name and your radius and let the results come to you!

Searching by State

For those of you willing to go far and wide for a great unit this might is a great search option for you. Now you can see all of the units in your state and find the perfect one for you!

  • Make sure you search by your state acronym. Example – type GA instead of Georgia
  • Make sure you can adhere to the cleanout period rules for the unit you’re bidding on, especially when you factor in the travel time!

Searching by Tags

On Storageauctions.com, we also allow you to narrow your search results by tags! Once you have a search radius, you can choose to filter those units by items your interested in. This could be anything from tools to musical instruments.

  • Example – let’s say you’re looking for a golf cart and willing to travel 200 miles for one. Search by this tag, enter a 200 mile radius, and see what comes up!

Always Click into Units

One final tip before we go is to always click into the individual units you see.

  • The thumbnail image you see on the main page that comes up when you search for units is meant to give you an idea of what a unit contains.
  • Scroll through all photos! The true treasure could be lying in the final photo, but you won’t know unless you check!

Now that you have information, you’re a professional when it comes to searching for auctions on storageauctions.com!
